Yesterday i was very well bored and so i remembered a song that i was asked to play long time ago (if i had known it then). It's Les Champs-Elysees by Joe Dassin (He is french but whereby Joe somehow connotes that he was supposed to conquer the english speaking world, whatsoever)
The whole thing took place '99 or so. my brother had student exchange with frenchs. on the last day they had a farewell party at his school and we were supposed to play (what we did). after the concert one of our gitarrists got a bit hussy because of those many french girls and tried to play more songs. so he came up with the fabulous idea of playing champs-elysees. and another french song, but i cant remember that one. i think it's a nice song and worthwile to listen to. i would love to hear more french music here and there. the only french musician i can readily remember is louis bertignac (which pops up associativity with a friend of my brother but the memory is dark). classic rock music. well.
i also found this one by dassin. Once upon a time there were the two of us, il efait une fois nous deux
and to let it not being so good that post here some refreshing 80s music. but i must admit i feel sick when i hear it.
