I just had a chat with a friend. We talked about music and I was told (again) that Dave Matthews Band is just another version of Jon Bon Jovi. Well. It's a free country. Anyhow, before we talked about music we kind of had the usual small talk about what we did so far during the day. He was reading The polish peasant in Europe and America. My story was, I finished my very exciting reading of 1960s social systems theory and, to keep the small talk running, mentioned that i was also reading Becker's Boys in White which is about initiation processes of students into the medical profession. as usual i kept on talking and talking and said that i will use the book to argue that corporate welfare could be regarded as some form of educational tool to make employees employees, meaning employees will adjust and be initiated to the corporate identity and behaviour through experiencing welfare provisions (i just wanted to say something...). i wasnt thinking of that when i borrowed the book from the library. i just wanted to have something to read, which is not related to corporate welfare in any respect, for my extensive baths. now it looks like this didnt work out... (shall i get another book then..??)
i know the argument is a bit far-fetched, made up, and not quite 'round', yet. but i think it could work. i will try at least. im amazed what a chat can bring. thanks for the chat!

That's okay, does this mean i'll get some sort of acknowledgment when your thesis is finished though?
yes, of course! maybe i could even do a discussion of the difference of corporate welfare between a capitalist and a socialist society. I guess, the socialist model will be better, at least as far as i know it. capitalists are only catching up now.
