well not yet. just found this:
"Die Grundlage eines jeden Staates ist die Ausbildung seiner Jugend." (Diogenes von Sinope, Philosoph 400 v. Chr.)

translated its "the foundation of every state is the education of its youth."

states should stick to do it. there is hardly anything more important. but it is sad to see that education is less valued and especially university students are assumed to be lazy bastards, doing nothing all day, except drinking. sociologists are just talking about things everyone already knows... they are absolutely not needed in society. actually they are. more than ever. maybe its a lot of talking done in sociology but this talk helps to understand why things are as they are and how it could be done differently, better. society and life is a challenge which has to be started every day again. every day requires that we think about society and life otherwise we will get stuck and cant get any better. or?
